I worked at the same company for 16 years, so I have a hard time asking for help. I've raised two beautiful girls mainly on my own with no financial help (except for when I was married). The environment at my job was causing an over abundance of negative stress in my life. Stress is one of the most frequent trigger's of my Fybromyalgia, my asthma, arthritis, bad knees and my chronic pain I have had two herniated disc's removed and have two more that cause sever pain. Both of my knee's are shot and have been operated on. The doctor says I have to have both knee's replaced. Being at work was making my condition worse, so I'd miss work, in turn, missing work was affecting my job and income as most of the time I missed was unpaid. I finally had to leave when I was out on short term disability to end the cycle. I guess I do not qualify for permanent disability. I've been very actively searching for a new job with a little less stress and a lot less hostility, but until then, I have no way to pay for my prescriptions. One of them is over $800.00 on its own. I am going through pain management, I'm on oxygen, have asthma medications, now depression on top of everything else, I have restless leg syndrome and also have to take a medication to keep me alert because of all of the other med's I'm on. I need help. I hate to ask for it, because I've always tried to show that I can be independent and I can give my girls what they need, but I need this help, I don't know what else to do, and if I don't get my meds when they come due 10/7, I'm in big trouble.
