when my daughter was 14 months old i took her to the hospital she had a fever of 105.6 the dr ordered towels be put on her which broght the temp down fast well they discharged her from the put patient department and on the way home she went into a seizure i had to turn around when we got her there the temp was 106.5 and she was in a grand mal seizure that lasted almost 2 hrs she went 2 hrs without the proper oxygen goin to her brain she was oded by the staff on phenobarbitol valium and childrens tylenol she was in a comma for 5 days when she came out of it they thought she was blind and deaf i was 22 yrs old at the time with 2 other children at home her meds are so so expensive it is hard to have things that u need to survive bthat was 22 yrs ago that this had happened she is in a wheel chair in diapers and very few words but she loves to color and to swim and that i make a priority because she can do these things she loves company and loves to eat she is 23 now with the mind of a 3or 4 yr old she remembers everything about a person if 4 people all show up and they all take their coats off she knows whose coat is whoms she knows where things r kept in the household too she can relate to what we are saying i thank god every day i still have her , there are days that her meds make her sleep and then days that the make her wound up but she is in great spirits
