Just recently, my group plan through my job raised our co-pays and deductible from a $1000.00 deductible to a $5000.00 deductible with $10,000 out of pocket. All of our co-pays went up too. What I paid $25.00 for 90 in June, I am now expected to pay $87.50 each for 3 of my medications and $187.50 on the other one! I bring home $752.00 every 2 weeks. Anyone but the insurance magnates can do the math and see my dilemma. Do I buy gas to get to my job 43 miles away or do I buy my medications for hypertension, high cholesterol, and clinical depression? And, if I don't buy gas to get to work, I don't have a job and cannot pay any of it. I'm 4 years from the minimum retirement age and even then, I will need to work because my projected social security amount won't support me. I've been a widow for a year now and still paying bills we accumulated previously on 2 incomes. Those who make a profit in the insurance industry seem to have no grasp of true human need.... I'd hate to think they do know and just don't care I'm hoping that I will be able to maintain consistency of health care with your help to supplement my insurance lack of coverage.
I used to refer my clients to you "Medicine Program". Now, I need you myself.
Thank you for helping so many.
