welfare needs to be updated,if you are recieving full t19 coverage and you get a job earning more than 400.00 a month gross you go on spenddown, which means you have to pay 3,000,00 in medical bills before you get full coverage.tell me how 400.00 gross a month will pay bills and your medical?there are no programs out there for people waiting to get disability, the state of ct will give you 200.00 month plus food stamps but only if you have a disability letter.what good does that do and if you do not have a residence you cannot get any benifits,in my case i am going from dr todr being tested to find out whats going on but i cannot get a disability letter.200.00 is better than nothing but it will not keep you in a home.homeless shelters only let you stay 1 night then you have to wait 3 days before returning.we need a program to help people in the middle displaced workers.we need our reps toi do the job they were elected to do help the people, instead they avoid the areas where people are on the streets, the problem will not go away closing your eyes to it,we say do something.
