Black-Eyed Peas for New Year?
RavenCares submitted, posted 1 Year, 1 month, 1 Week, 5 days, 5 hours, 25 minutes ago
Does anybody else eat Black-Eyed Peas on New Year's Day? I grew up with the tradition, and have kept it every year. It's supposed to bring good luck for the coming year. (I also wear a brand new pair of socks!) ~~RavenCares

No Canned Peas!

Would you believe it? My grocery store was totally out of canned black-eyed peas this week! I guess a lot of people share the same tradition! So, I bought a package of dried black-eyed peas. (They're probably better for me anyway, lol!)

Sissy, I love that your brother called them Green-Eyed Peas when he was a kid! Well, I soaked the Black-Eyed Peas, and then I made Black-Eyed Pea Salsa. We ate them with Quesadillas, and it was so tasty! Hopefully, this year will be a lucky one for us all!
