It's so sad when you think about how many kids have leukemia. It seems like everyone I talk to lately has a story about a boy or girl in their lives who has it. I wonder if there are things in the environment that cause it. And I wonder if there are more cases now than in the past. I just hate to see little kids go through this.

It's always so sad to see little kids who are sick, especially those with cancer. There have been amazing breakthroughs in the past 30 years in the field of pediatric oncology and leukemia treatment for children. In the old days, leukemia was always a certain death sentence. But nowdays, the majority of kids will survive it. But it still hurts to see all the pain they go thru. From what I understand, there is a definite correlation between environmental pollution and leukemia in children.

I cant hardly stand to see children suffering. It makes me really aware of how fortunate we are to have health. I do know that children can live because a friend of the family's child has had a rough go, but has beat it so far! Sissy
