Post topic: Wholes Grains Can Prevent Heart Disease

A recent review conducted by researchers at Wake Forest University found that two and a half servings of whole grains every day can lower your risk of cardiovascular disease by 21 percent. The foods that you should stock up on include breads and pasta made with whole wheat flour, oatmeal, brown rice, and popcorn. The fiber and nutrients found in whole grains may reduce heart disease by lowering cholesterol and blood sugar, as well as improving the functioning of blood vessels. The researchers based their findings on the results of seven studies involving more than 285,000 people.
