A diet that's high in salt makes the bacteria responsible for stomach ulcers more virulent. About half of the adults in the United States aged 60 and older are already infected with these 'bugs' - another good reason to eat less salt!

Thanks for sharing! I love salt.... and my stomache has been bothering me lately and I"ve been wondering if I might have an ulcer... obviously I need to at least cut back on the salt!

If you think you have an ulcer you should go to a bland diet and that will give you a good idea of whether or not you have an ulcer! Sadie
