Ballroom dancing has become very popular, and it's good for you too. A study published in 2003 found that dancing can protect people from getting dementia. It also burns fat and increases bone density. Even just dancing socially at a moderate pace burns about 300 calories per hour. Doctors recommend that people warm up before dancing, however, since ballroom dancing uses different muscle groups than those used in jogging or treadmill work.

And the best thing about dancing is that it's fun... why use a treadmill and stare at a wall when you can dance and laugh and enjoy other people's company while exercising?

What a great form of exercise! It's fun, and also good for you! I love to watch Dancing with the Stars on TV -- the ballroom dancers always look so graceful! :)
