Post topic: Wal-Mart $4 Generic Drug Program

Wal-Mart offers a $4 Generic Drug Program at all of its pharmacies in the United States, except for North Dakota. Its prescription-drug formulary list contains over 330 of the most commonly prescribed medications. Out of this nation's 20 most commonly prescribed drugs, Wal-Mart covers 14 of them in generic form. For more information, please see www.walmart.com, and click on its Pharmacy link. The website has a downloadable Generic Drug List in PDF form, listing all of the eligible prescriptions. You can also obtain the list in person at any Wal-Mart pharmacy. This program is also available at Sam's Clubs, which are owned by Wal-Mart. You do NOT need to be a member to use the pharmacy. Wal-Mart advises patients to take the formulary list with them when they visit their physicians. Ask your doctor if there is a generic substitution on the list for the medication he or she wants to prescribe. The cost for a 30-day supply of generic drugs is $4.

I have been following this program and they have added meds! All of their meds are listed on their pharmacy site.
