Publix, a grocery store chain with 684 pharmacies in five states in the Southeast, announced last month that it would not charge for prescriptions for seven commonly used antibiotics, according to the NY Times.

Cheerful, there was a new member a couple weeks ago who said that she had actually gotten an antibiotic prescription filled at a Publix store. And, yes, it was completely free!! I only wish we had Publix out here in California! Thanks for telling us about this great program!

I have looked into the Walmart/Kmart generic plan and both sites have the prescrips on their site. It may be a good idea to take a copy along to the doctor. They can prescribe off of that list and that way we can all afford our prescrips! Check it out everyone!

I got some help from PARTNERSHIP FOR PRESCRIPTION ASSISTANCE. I called the number 1-888-477-2669. I got the number from the commercial with Montel Williams. They guide you to different pharmacutical compainies that have plans for people that have low income or ni inusrance.
