Post topic: Allergy Med Advice?

Okay, I'm going nuts... my allergies have been on over-drive all weekend... post-nasal drip, sneezing, itchy eyes... you name it. Apparently weeds are high in my area right now and I'm allergic to more types of weed than I can count. Usually I take Alavert and it works. The allergist said I could double the dosage so I take the 24 hour tablet every 12 hours to keep it in my system constantly. However, it's not working this time!! I don't think I've built up an immunity to it because I usually only take it for a week or two every couple of months. I'm afraid that if I don't get my allergies under control, my asthma is going to start acting up and I reallllly hate that! Last time my allergies went nuts I had to use my inhaler several times a week and that's not good! Any advice??

Cheerful, I have had a terrible time lately with my allegeries. So bad that I got a sinus infection, let it go and now have bronchitis! Yikes, the doctor got on to me for letting it go! Good luck to you! Sissy

This time of year is bad with the ever changing cold and hot. Never know how to dress in the mornings! Hopefully it will freeze soon and some of the allegeries will lighten. Malena

Dolphi I know that allegeries can sometimes cause a little allegeric bump on your eye. You may want to call your doctor and let them know. What type of allegeries do you have? Malena

My eyes swell with allegeries. It could be a similiar thing - not sure. You may want to stop the med for a day or so and see if it goes away. Then if you start the meds again and it reappears you can make a safe assumption! Good luck Sissy

Has anyone been following the controversy with Singular? That was the med that my little one was on and then they came out with the mood/suicide warning? Sissy
