Hello, I have aquestion I am really hoping someone can answer.

I find that when I laugh, or cry , or talk to long periods of time, i tend to start coughing alot and in doing so I easily lose my breath. I find myself gasping for breath and I was wondering if you think it could be an allergy?

It doesn't seem to matter where I am; home, work, shopping, outside... if i do those things i lose my breath.

I had pleurisy 2 years ago and ever since then I have found this happens. the right side of my chest hurts when i cough.

I've been taking Allegra D for over 3 weeks and i have not seen any difference. do you think this could be an allergy?

Thankyou so much for your help and time:)

It could be an allegery of some type. I do know that some people have to try different medications before their allegeries are under control. You may want to discuss with your doctor! Good luck!

I would definitely check with your doctor, especially since the coughing began after your episode of pleurisy. It could be allergies, but only your doctor will be able to determine that. Good luck, and let us know what you find out.
