I've got pretty bad arthritis in my back and knees. Lately I've been combining generic ibuprofen with Tylenol Arthritis (time released). Is there any danger of using both drugs at the same time?

I've heard that you can mix motrin and tylenol, I've done it myself, but that you're not suppoed to do it too often. You don't want to OD on tylenol because it damages the liver if I remember right. I knowyou can take up to 800 mg of motrin at one time because that's what I do to keep my migraines at bay.

The doctor has told me that you can take them 2 hours apart from one another. Like tylenol at 2 and then motrin at 4, but I would not want to do it all the time because it would not be good for you. Sissy

generic ibuprofen was pulled off the shelves awhile ago dated between 2003-2005 because it contained metal. If you read on the daily cleanse treatment it mentions that a lot of our sickness comes from metal contamination as well as parasites and particles sticking along side the walls of our intestines. Ken Trudeau which is really hard on the FDA mentions a lot of helpful advice in his book. the website for the natural products to try is akgnaturals.org join the many of us in trying these items.

From what I was taught many years ago, there is no danger in alternating nonsteroidal antiinflamatory drugs (NSAIDs) with Tylenol. This actually works quite nicely with arthritis. The regimen goes something like this: if you take ibuprofen every six hours, you can take 2 Tylenols three hours after you've taken the ibuprofen. Just be sure not to exceed the recommended daily dosage, especially with the Tylenol, which can cause liver damage.

Yes, Tylenol should definitely be taken in moderation. But then again so should everything else! Sissy

Yep, Sissy, everybody should be aware that OTC medications can cause a lot of health problems, just like prescription drugs do. Never exceed the recommended daily dosage with OTC meds. They can cause kidney and liver damage if you take too much.
