Hi, Cheerful! LOL, so you want to know about the Land of Enchantment?! Actually it's our state motto -- I live in New Mexico. I'm not really sure where the motto came from, but it certainly is enchanting here! I study Native American Studies at school, and I'm fascinated with shamanism. We have a professor here at UNM who teaches 'the way of the shaman'. Pretty fascinating stuff! :)

New Mexico, one of the great Native American areas. What better place to study shamanism?? I had professor who talked about the Tlingits, Native Americans in Alaska where she used to live. She focused on the importance of oral tradition. We touched a bit on shamanism. Fascinating stuff! Sounds like you're in a great place to study native traditions!
