Lost Our Medicaid

Thursday, November 30th, 2006

We recently lost our Medicaid and I cannot afford my son’s Strattera, 40 mg. I am qualified for insurance at the end of January, through my employer. But in the meantime, I need help. I also do not receive child support for my nine year old and recently ask his father for at least half of the payment. Unfortunately, he has never been reliable and I still haven’t received any help. So my concern is for my son. He has done wonderful in school and has come a long way, I am terrified for him to get set back because I can not afford his medication. I also contacted his doctor to see if he had some samples. I was again unsuccessful! My new husband and I barely can make ends meet and we have two children. He is not the biological father of either child, but supports them as if they were his own. We are looking for someone who can help us until my insurance kicks in.

Too-New Drugs

Thursday, November 30th, 2006

The prescriptions I have are all new drugs with no generics available yet. Even with insurance, the co-pays are high. Its great that companies are able to do the research and processes to come up with new, more effective medications. And the doctors are given free samples to pass on their patients. Its not until the patient has been on a drug for a few weeks and is ready to take the prescription to buy levitra professional, order viagra soft tabs, buy cialis soft tabs, order vpxl online be filled that they discover there’s no generic and the drug is considered upper level by the insurance company. Suddenly, you’re asking the checker if they can put something back because you don’t have the funds to cover more than one co-pay at a time.

I fought off depression most of my life until one day there just wasn’t any way to go .I felt lost and unable to function. My mind would go 90 miles an hour, no sleep and I finally gave up. I awakened 3 days later in the hospital. I lost everything. My son, my some what life, and now I can’t afford the prescriptions to keep me from not wanting to kill myself. My Pain And No Insurance

Thursday, November 30th, 2006

I hurt my back a few years ago and I had some tests done and the doctor said I need surgery. But I don’t have any insurance. I can’t even see a doctor for treatment because of no insurance, I cant get any medicine because all the medicine I’m supposed to take adds up to almost $500.00 dollars per month and I can’t work. I’ve applied for temporary insurance through my state but I don’t qualify because my wife makes too much money per month. So I don’t know what to do. I’ve also applied for disability but I’ve been turned down twice so far.

Surgery With No Insurance

Thursday, November 30th, 2006

Last year I was divorced and raising 2 children with little income. This year I had to have surgery with no insurance since I can’t afford it, being self employed. I am unable to work a regular full time job because I need flexibility due to my children’s needs for medical care and school functions.

Need Help

Thursday, November 30th, 2006

I pay over two hundred and sixty dollars a month for my medications alone. That does not include my husband’s medications. I do not qualify for Medicaid / Medicare. They say our income is over the limit by thirty dollars. Looking for a way to help us with the expenses of this high medication.

Assistance Needed

Thursday, November 30th, 2006

My parents are elderly and have worked hard their whole life, but find themselves in a financial hardship in their later years due to the cost of medical care. My father currently is insulin dependent for diabetes and my mother is suffering from memory loss. They decide each month which medication they can afford to buy & they sometimes decide they can’t afford to take all their medications prescribed. Of course this causes them additional medical complications, but they don’t know what other choice they have. They are considered middle income & have been turned down for many county services, but yet they don’t have extra money to pay for the simple things in life after all their years of working hard.

GREAT Hardship To Be Able To Purchase Medication

Wednesday, November 29th, 2006

My name is Jason R. and I am in great need of help with my prescription drugs. I was just released from the hospital Monday November 13, 2006. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks. I have NO medical insurance and no prescription drug coverage. I was admitted to the hospital through the emergency room with left lung pain. While in the hospital my kidneys shut down and I went into renal failure and had to have 3 dialysis treatments. I also had pneumonia, which is why my left lung was hurting so bad. I now have high blood pressure also due to the renal failure. My kidneys are working on their own now, Praise the GOOD LORD, but I am on 5 different medications that I am having great trouble getting, due to no income.

Diet And Exercise

Wednesday, November 29th, 2006

About a year ago I discovered that I had type II diabetes and I have to admit that I hated the idea of having to take shots. I soon discovered that with the proper diet lifestyle and minimal exercise I was able to control it with no problem. While what happened to me was not all good, some of it was. I lost 50 lbs and got a new and healthy life style. I guess its what you call, “making lemonade out of lemons.”
